Fair Use Policy

Last updated: December 3, 2025

JSBCloud provides quality network infrastructure with bandwidth ranging from 200 Mbps to 1 Gbps depending on the plan, under Fair Use terms. This policy defines the rules for reasonable use of our resources to ensure an optimal experience for all our customers.

1. What is Fair Use?

The term "Fair Use" means that:

  • Bandwidth is not limited in data volume
  • Usage must remain reasonable and not impact other customers
  • CPU resources must be used proportionately

This policy allows flexible usage while preserving quality of service for all users sharing our infrastructure.

2. Objectives

This policy aims to:

  • Ensure fair access to resources for all customers
  • Prevent network congestion and maintain stability
  • Guarantee optimal performance across our entire infrastructure
  • Protect our services against abuse

3. Reasonable Usage

Usage is considered reasonable when it:

  • Does not degrade performance for other users
  • Does not cause excessive and continuous resource consumption
  • Complies with the Terms and Conditions of our services
  • Falls within legal and legitimate uses

4. Resources Covered

Bandwidth

Bandwidth varies by plan (200 Mbps to 1 Gbps). Continuous use at 100% capacity over extended periods is considered abusive.

In case of abuse: Bandwidth may be throttled to 50 Mbps.

CPU Resources (vCPU)

Allocated processor resources must be used reasonably. Continuous 100% usage over extended periods may impact other customers.

In case of abuse: vCPUs may be throttled or the service suspended if the user does not take necessary corrective measures.

Bare Metal Servers

Not affected: Dedicated Bare Metal servers are not subject to this Fair Use policy. You have full access to all your server's resources without restrictions.

Shared Web Hosting

Shared web hosting has no specific defined limits but remains subject to the general principle of reasonable use.

5. Examples of Abusive Usage

The following are considered non-compliant with Fair Use:

  • Continuous bandwidth usage at 100% for extended periods
  • Permanent saturation of CPU/vCPU resources
  • Hosting services generating disproportionate traffic relative to the subscribed plan
  • Activities generating an abnormally high number of requests or connections

For specifically prohibited activities (seedbox, public proxy, etc.), please see our Prohibited Activities page.

6. Monitoring and Detection

JSBCloud uses monitoring tools to track resource usage and detect anomalies. These systems allow us to:

  • Identify usage spikes and unusual behavior
  • Measure the impact on overall quality of service
  • Quickly intervene when usage may affect infrastructure stability

7. Measures in Case of Non-Compliance

In case of non-compliance with this policy, JSBCloud will apply proportionate measures:

Abuse Level Action
Minor Warning email sent inviting the customer to regularize their consumption
Significant Email notification + immediate application of limitations (bandwidth throttled to 50 Mbps, vCPU limitation) or service suspension
Repeat offense Suspension or termination of service in accordance with the Terms and Conditions

Limitations will be lifted once the customer has taken the necessary corrective measures.

8. Exceptions

Exceptions to this policy may be granted in certain cases:

  • Specific and legitimate needs validated by our team
  • One-time events requiring additional resources
  • Prior written agreement from JSBCloud

For any exception request, contact our support before the planned intensive usage.

9. Modifications

JSBCloud reserves the right to modify this Fair Use policy at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes by email. The current version is the one published on this page.
